My First BERNINA: Erica’s Story
I had a Viking and it started giving me some problems and about that time Carolyn Leatherman of Bee Creek Sewing Service was expanding her business to include a wider selection of Bernina machines and she asked if I would like to partner with her (I have a quilt shop) and have one or two of her machines on display and she would “loan” me a machine to sew on to “see if I liked it!” Well, of course, I did and I used her machines, switching them out off and on until I bit the bullet and bought a Bernina 710! Might as well go big. I really do recommend the Bernina 350 to alot of customers and over the years Carolyn and I have sold a few machines. It is a win/win situation. Love my B710 for making those T-shirt quilts (and I make alot of them for customers). I hope to find a little time this winter to practice the free motion quilting, but it seems when you own a shop you are always doing for others and there isn’t much time to do for oneself!
